Because of the regulatory and technical limits of 050 numbers, the following numbers cannot be called from this service. If you dial one, a Japanese announcement is played before any connection is attempted and the call ends (no call charge).

In an emergency, call from a mobile or landline phone. Police and fire stations also have ordinary landline numbers starting with an area code, and those can usually be called; we recommend noting the number of your local station in advance.
